DC Motor Speed Control Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In DC Motor Speed Control Project, we will learn how to control /run 5V DC Motor using transistors. We will be able to control the speed of the DC Motor from zero to maximum speed.
Materials Required
DC MOTOR
Transistor
Potentiomerter
5-9 V Battery
STEPS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT
STEP 1
Connect the Potentiometer:
1. Connect pin 1 to 5V.
2.Connect pin 3 to GND.
3.Connect pin 2 to base of the transistor.
STEP 2
Connect the Transistor:
1.Connect pin 2 collector to Motor pin 1.
2. Connect pin 3 Emitter to GND.
STEP 3
Connect the Motor:
1.Connect Motor 2nd pin to 5V.
RESULT
After Completing the all steps given above, we make the 5V ON. Now, we start rotating the knob of potentiometer.We observe that Motor starts rotating and its speed starts increasing while rotating the potentiometer Knob.
